Is Internet Banking secure?

Internet banking is a safe and secure way to conduct your banking transactions. Our Internet Banking program uses industry standard technology to maintain the privacy and security of your personal information and banking transactions. This technology includes controlled log-in by Username and password with multi-factor authentication (challenge questions). When can I use Internet Banking?

You may log on to Internet Banking any time, 24-hours a day, seven days a week. You may access Internet Banking from any computer or mobile device with Internet access.

How do I sign up for Internet Banking?

Existing bank customers may click on Enroll in Internet Banking, read and accept the Internet Banking Terms and Conditions, and complete the requested information to enroll. This information includes your account number and account type, Social Security Number, a security question and security answer, and email address. (Security question and answer are for identification purposes for future inquiries from you.) An example of a security question and answer would be “What is my pet’s name?” Answer: Tigger. You may choose any question and answer you wish for your personal security, but you will want to avoid using information that is easy to guess, or easily found out through social media sites. Once you complete your enrollment, we will issue you an initial username and password, sent to you in two separate mailings by U.S. Mail.

Once you receive your username and password, you may go to our website at www.rcnbank.com and Log In. You must complete the multifactor authentication questions, and you will be prompted immediately to change your username and password.

What are the requirements for the Username and Password?

Your username must be a minimum of eight characters. Your password must be a minimum of eight characters and maximum of 17 characters, and must contain at least two letters and two numbers. You will be required to change your password every 90 days. Your username and password are case sensitive. For extra security, we encourage a mix of numbers and letters, both upper and lower case. You will want to avoid using words or numbers that are easy to guess such as names or birthdates, etc. You will not be allowed to reuse passwords, or passwords that are very similar to your previous passwords.

How do I change my Password?

To change your existing password at any time, go to the Profile tab when logged in to Internet Banking and choose Edit located in the Password section.

What if I forget my Username or Password?

Please click on “Forgot Your Password” in the Internet Banking log in box, or call our bank to request assistance if you forget your username or password.

What can I do to help protect my privacy and security?

You should keep your username and password confidential. Do not share them with anyone. Avoid using usernames and passwords that are names or numbers that are easy to guess. Always log off Internet Banking before walking away from your computer, even if you are only walking away for a short time. If you believe that an unauthorized user has gained your username and password you must notify our bank immediately.

When logged in to Internet Banking, how do I exit properly?

To exit Internet Banking click on the Log Out button, which will return you to a screen where you can choose to log in again or go to our bank’s public web site.
